        Pre-Design                Design                Drafting                Specification                Bid

                                                                       

  • Pre-Design - Dorig Designs will do a site measure and detailed interview to understand your objectives:
    • Purpose of space
    • Occupants
    • Storage needs
    • Style preferences
    • Budget & time constraints
  • Design - Using the information gathered during the Pre-Design, Dorig Designs will generate design concepts.  Concepts are revised until you are satisfied with the layout.
  • Drafting - Once the concept is approved, detailed drawings are generated using AutoCad software.  Floor plans and elevations are dimensioned and detailed drawings are made for custom cabinetry. 
  • Specification - Materials are reviewed based on style, cost, energy savings, health, and safety.  Some materials such as appliances must be finalized before the drafting stage.  Dorig Designs can advise on the best appliances for your project.  Materials specified in plans include:
    • Cabinets
    • Appliances
    • Flooring
    • Wall Covering
    • Countertops and Backsplashes
    • Furniture
    • Lighting
  • Bid - Plans are reviewed for bid.  Dorig Designs can provide referrals for licensed contractors, some of which are credited on the Portfolio of this website.  Otherwise, if you already have a licensed contractor, Dorig Designs is happy to meet and review the plans with them.
  • Construction - During this time Dorig Designs will visit the job site to make sure the installation goes according to plan.  Dorig Designs will be in close communication with you and your contractor.  

 

  • All Finished! - Dorig Designs will do a follow up interview and with your permission, have your space professionally photographed.
