Here are some of my favorite “Green” products. These products reduce the impact on our earth by using fewer resources, either its construction or its use.

1. Toto “Aquia” Dual Flush Toilet – Save more water with a dual flush toilet. You choose the amount of water you need, either a #1 (.9 gallon per flush) or a #2 (1.6 gallon per flush). Besides being green it is actually an attractive looking toilet. Who ever heard of such a thing!

2. 3-Form “Ecoresin” – Add more personality to your space with these translucent panels that can be used as partitions, door inserts, and table tops. Unusual materials such as capiz shells, bear grass, and copper wire are embedded into a 40% post-industrial reclaimed material.

3. Silestone “Stellar “Countertops – Quartz countertops are the way to go if you want a surface that is low maintenance. Harder than granite, this material is scratch, stain, and scorch resistant. “Stellar” countertops have 35% recycled glass.

4. Takagi Tankless Water Heater – Also known as water on demand heaters, they use about 20% less energy than traditional water heaters. Be forewarned that they take getting used to. I have a tankless water heater that takes a few minutes to heat up. However, in my mind, the energy savings makes up for it.
